The Process
We are currently offering appointments within the comfort of your own home. We will hold the informal consultation where you will discuss poses, sizes and the finish of your sculpture. We will then capture your 3D images using modern technology. To do this, you will stand on a turntable which will rotate you 90 degrees at a time. The scan should take around 4-6 minutes. During this time you will need to stay as still as possible. We aim to take around 3 scans which gives you the chance to choose the perfect image of your beautiful bump. Please allow 90 minutes for the whole appointment. This is a liberating experience as you will see your pregnant body like never before.
Your sculpture will then be made, hand finished, and delivered for you to cherish forever. This takes between 4-10 weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to have a sculpture?
We recommend that you have your scan between 30 – 37 weeks. However, it would be worth considering that your baby may surprise you a little early, therefore, to avoid missing the opportunity to capture your bump, it would be worth booking in earlier.
What should I expect during my scan?
The scan will be taken in the comfort of your own home. Ideally, we would need a good amount of natural light and a space of at least two meters nearby a plug socket.
During your appointment we will have a chat about your preferences, different poses, colours and finishes for your sculpture. You will stand on a rotating turntable while we capture each angle. We will take 3 scans to ensure we capture the most perfect image for your sculpture. The appointment should take no longer than 90 minutes.
Do I need to have anything with me?
You may find a robe useful to have. We also ask that your remove your jewellery and ensure that your hair is tied up, preferably into a bun.
Do I need to be naked for the scan?
Posing naked does provide a better finish on your sculpture but it is completely your choice, we want you to feel comfortable and confident. If you choose to wear underwear, we recommend that you wear no VLP/ seamless underwear for the scan. We will support your decision either way, as it is our priority to ensure that you have a positive experience.
Can you photoshop my imperfections?
We cannot use photoshop however we can make some tweaks to your sculpture and few touch ups if requested.
Is the 3D scan dangerous for my baby?
The 3D scanner is like using an ordinary camera and is no risk to yourself or your baby.
How long will it be until I receive my sculpture?
The sculpture will take between 4 to 10 weeks to create. This will ensure that your sculpture is dedicated the time it needs, once it has been created by 3D technology it is hand crafted in our workshop. You can then collect your sculpture or have it delivered.
