The Process
Your appointment will take place in a relaxed and private setting, either within our Derby studio or at one of our pop up locations. During your consultation we will talk through poses, sizes and finishes before capturing a selection of scans for you to choose from.
Using advanced 3D scanning technology, we carefully capture the natural shape and detail of your bump to create the foundation of your sculpture. The scanning process itself is quick, non invasive and typically takes just a few minutes. Most appointments last around one hour.
Once your chosen scan has been finalised, your sculpture will be individually created and hand finished in our workshop using your selected finish. Each piece is carefully crafted to create a timeless keepsake designed to be treasured forever.
Current turnaround time is approximately 16–24 weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to have a sculpture?
We recommend booking your scan between 30–36 weeks, when your bump is usually beautifully rounded and prominent. However, every pregnancy is different, so if you are expecting twins, measuring ahead, or there is a possibility of early delivery, we may recommend booking slightly sooner to avoid missing the opportunity to capture your bump.
What should I expect during my scan?

Do I need to have anything with me?
You may find it helpful to bring a robe or loose cover up to your appointment. We also recommend removing jewellery where possible and tying long hair up, ideally into a bun, to help achieve the cleanest finish for your scan.
Do I need to be naked for the scan?
Posing without clothing can create a smoother and more seamless finish to the sculpture, however this is completely your choice and your comfort always comes first. If you would prefer to wear underwear during your scan, we recommend seamless or no VPL styles where possible.
Our priority is to ensure you feel relaxed, confident and fully comfortable throughout your experience.
Can you photoshop my imperfections?
Subtle refinements and smoothing can be made where requested. Our aim is always to preserve your natural shape while creating a beautiful, timeless sculpture you feel confident and comfortable with.
Is the 3D scan dangerous for my baby?
The 3D scanner works similarly to a standard camera and is completely non invasive, making it safe to use during pregnancy for both mum and baby.
How long will it be until I receive my sculpture?
Each sculpture is carefully created using advanced 3D scanning technology before being individually hand finished in our workshop. This process takes time to ensure every piece receives the attention and detail it deserves.
Current turnaround time is approximately 16–24 weeks. Once complete, your sculpture can either be collected or delivered directly to you.
